If you are looking for a healthy snack or appetizer, try these delicious cabbage patties by cooking kisy. My family loves this recipe so much that we make it several times a week. Be sure to serve it with this creamy and garlic-y homemade sauce.

Get the cabbage and grate using a shredder. Place in a bowl. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt, then mix. Set it aside and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
While waiting, finely slice the medium onion.
Drizzle olive oil into a pan over heat, then add the sliced onion. Fry the onion until they caramelize. Set aside when done.
Squeeze the cabbage well until all the water is removed. Place in a clean bowl.
Add sauteed onions to the shredded cabbage. Season with 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of cumin, 1/4 teaspoon of oregano, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Next, add 2 large eggs and mix well.
Add 1 cup of breadcrumbs and 1/2 cup of cheese powder to a plate. Mix until well combined.
Get a spoonful of the mixture then form into a patty. Next, coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat with the remaining cabbage mixture.
In a different bowl, beat 1 egg. Dip the patties into the beaten egg, then coat again with the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat with remaining patties.
Add 1/2 cup of vegetable oil into a pan, then place over low heat. Once the oil is hot, add the patties. Fry the patties for 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Make the sauce. Finely chop the chives and place them in a bowl. Grate a clove of garlic, then add 1 cup of yogurt. Add a pinch of salt and a bit of black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Serve the patties with the sauce. Enjoy!
