  • 1 pound or about 10-12 pieces chicken tenders
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley, optional
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese, optional

Honey mustard dipping sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, vinegar, salt, paprika, garlic powder, whisk them together until incorporated, then set it aside. In a separate bowl, whisk the Panko breadcrumbs, Italian breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese together until well combined, then set this aside as well. Grab a separate large bowl, then add in the egg, olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt. Whisk them together until uniform, then add the chicken tenders, and toss them until each piece is well coated with the mixture.

Step 2

Next, coat the chicken tenders in the prepared breading mixture, turn and press all sides to coat evenly. Grease your air fryer basket with cooking spray, place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer without overcrowding them, then spray them generously with cooking spray. Let them cook in a preheated air fryer at 400°F for about 12 minutes flipping halfway, make sure to spray the chicken tenders generously when you flip them. Cook them until crispy and golden brown. Serve with the honey mustard dipping sauce.
