My family loves bread, and this recipe from Tasty on Youtube is one of our favorites. It’s loaded with cheese and jalapeno and baked to perfection in a dutch oven! This recipe tastes so good; we have it almost every day. Try this recipe today and see for yourself.

Ingredients:

  • 3 & 1/2 cups of bread flour
  • 2 cups + 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
  • 3 jalapenos, chopped
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 packet of instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

Step 1

In a bowl, add 3 & 1/2 cups of bread flour, 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese, two chopped jalapenos, and 1 tbsp salt. Mix well and set aside. Next, in another bowl, add 2 cups of warm water and 1 packet of instant yeast, then add the flour mixture. Mix until dough forms, then fold it eight times using a spatula. Cover the dough and let it rest for one hour. After an hour, fold it again seven times, then let it rest for 30 minutes more. While waiting, preheat an empty dutch oven to 450 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Flour your working surface and transfer the dough. Flour and form it into a giant ball, then transfer it to parchment paper. Brush 1 tbsp olive oil on the dough, then sprinkle 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese. Slice the top in a crisscross pattern, then place one chopped jalapeno across. Place the dough with the parchment paper on the preheated dutch oven and bake it at 450 degrees F for 30 minutes with the lid on, then another 20 minutes with the lid off.
