Crust:
Filling:
Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour in a bowl followed by 1/2 cup of light brown sugar. Mix well, then stir in 8 tbsp unsalted butter. Combine everything until crumbly texture. Once done, transfer the crumby mixture to a parchment paper-lined baking tray. Spread and press it down, then place it in a preheated 350 degrees F oven, baking it for ten minutes. After baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely. In the meantime, make the filling.
Combine 1 cup light brown sugar, two large cracked eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix well. Next, sift 3 tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tsp baking powder. Combine them well until no lumps, then fold in some chopped pecans or walnuts and a 7 oz bag of sweetened shredded coconut. Dump in the filling over the cooled crust, spreading it nicely and evenly. Place it in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. After baking, let it cool for an hour before slicing it into bite-size pieces.
