We always love to make cookies at home, and this is just one of the recipes that we tried online on a weekend. It turned out so good that we already made it several times. Even the guests who came over to our house loved it. For this recipe, you only need a few ingredients and most of them are probably already in your pantry. Easy Double Chocolate Fudge Cookies

  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Wet ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup of chopped semisweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Others:

  • 3/4 cup chopped semisweet chocolate (and more for topping)

How to Make Double Chocolate Fudge Cookies

Step 1:

In a mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well.

Step 2:

Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolates into the bowl, followed by the butter. Melt in the microwave or using a double boiler. Once melted, let it cool slightly. Add all the remaining wet ingredients and mix well.

Step 3:

Combine the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well. Make sure not to overmix it.

Step 4:

Fold in the chopped semisweet chocolate.

Step 5:

Scoop 1 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top with more semi-sweet chocolate chunks. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Make sure to space not to overcrowd the baking sheet as the cookies will expand.

Step 6:

Place in a 350F preheated oven and bake for 9 minutes.

Step 7:

Once done baking, place the cookies with the sheet above a wire rack and let them cool for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
