I wish I would have found this Diy before buying my fuzzy rug! This DIY Dollar Store Faux Fur Rug looks even better than the one I bought from the home decor store. Zesty Estie really created a masterpiece with this DIY. I even made one for my sister to put in her dorm room and it looks so amazing! You only need seven materials, so it will only cost you about $7 to make, and very little time.

Materials Needed For This DIY:

  • Duck Tape
  • 2 Dollar Store Rugs or Mats
  • 2 Blankets
  • Fabric Adhesive
  • Fabric Glue

Directions

Step One

Tape your dollar store mats together on the front and back. Use duck tape to do this. You might want to do multiple layers of tape to reinforce the hold.

Step Two

Attach the first blanket to the mats. Cut off part of the sides, so the center of the rug lays higher than the top blanket. Attach the first rug with a spray fabric adhesive and fabric glue.

Step Three

Attach the second blanket to the rug using fabric glue. Cut off part of the edges of the mats to make sure the top blanket can wrap around the edges of the mats. Allow the glue to dry for an hour before flipping it over for step four.
