I had a totally different recipe planned to share with you this week, but then I made these cinnamon roll waffles on Saturday and I knew I had to share them with y’all ASAP!    I honestly don’t think I have ever seen my kids eat so fast or so much for breakfast!  They may not be healthy, but you’ve gotta splurge and have a little fun every now and then…isn’t that what Saturday morning breakfasts are for?

The best thing about them (besides the fact that they are yummy) is that they are SO easy.  I can barely even call it a recipe, but you can opt to use the icing that comes with the rolls or mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk and make icing, or, you can use cream cheese and powdered sugar if you want to really splurge!

All you do is heat waffle maker; spray with cooking spray. Remove cinnamon rolls from can; set icing aside. For each waffle, place 1 cinnamon roll in center of waffle maker; close. Bake 3 to 4 minutes or until waffle is thoroughly cooked and golden brown. Then put the icing from the can over the hot waffles and spread with spoon.

The next thing I want to try on a waffle iron is cookie dough! My mouth waters just thinking about it! Doesn’t yours? There are so many things that you can make on a waffle iron….omelets, cheese sandwiches, brownies and the list goes on and on!

Watch how this is done by Digital Mom Blog in her step by step tutorial and start trying this and many other things on your nifty waffle iron!
