My favorite thing on Valentine’s Day has always been those cute heart candies in beautiful pastel colors that say, “Be Mine” and “You’re The One”, etc… So when I saw this absolutely adorable DIY Valentine Felt Heart idea with lovely phrases stitched to the front on Youtube I knew I had to make some immediately. I started by gathering my supplies:
Supplies:
- A Pair of Scissors
- Some Batting (for stuffing your hearts)
- Some Embroidery Floss
- A Needle
- Multiple Colors of Felt (any craft store will have cheap felt sheets)
- One Heart Pattern (you can either draw your own or buy one at any craft store)
First, trace your heart pattern onto your felt then cut around it.
Then you get your embroidery floss and needle then write your sweet Valentine’s Day Messages on the front of each heart.
Then you just whip stitch all the way around your sweet heats leaving a small opening on one side where you will add your batting.
Then you add your stuffing and sew your cute little heart up.
These little felt hearts are so cute, I made a bunch for my kids to give to their teachers on Valentine’s Day. The teachers absolutely loved them and said they were going to leave them on their desk all year. That’s the thing about Valentine’s Day Crafts is that they look attractive all year long and give any area a feeling of Boho Chic. I did keep a few for myself to pin to my bulletin board in the craft room.
