When I found this totally awesome DIY thread organizer Mana Creative Corner, on YouTube, I really wanted to make this project. This method of organizing all of your sewing materials made so much sense to me because you get an excellent visual display of all of your sewing articles. This organizer is a tall open idea, and not a bucket type of sewing box, where you almost need a flashlight to find anything in.

Materials For Thread Organizer:

  • Some plastic straws
  • Some cardboard
  • Some wrapping paper (or card stock)
  • Tape
  • A pair of scissors
  • A ruler
  • A pen

You begin by cutting your cardboard into the shapes described in this comprehensive video tutorial, then you will wrap the cardboard sections in wrapping paper or card stock.
