Directions:

DIY sunflower decor #1

Make a simple sunflower template, then transfer it to a piece of wood, and cut it out. Make sure to smooth out any rough edges before proceeding, then coat the whole piece with white chalk paint, and use a sponge applicator to dab a large circle at the center for the seeds of the flower. Next, paint the petals yellow and the stem as well as the leaves green. You can also dab a few smaller circles at the center using different shades to add more details.

DIY sunflower decor #2

Get a single large piece of a popsicle stick, then cut off both ends to make it to a size where it would fit in the middle of your mini wreath to serve as a banner, and attach it at the back with hot glue. Decorate the sides with some faux leaves and sunflower and attach them with hot glue, then write down anything you want on the popsicle stick at the center.

DIY sunflower decor #3

Stain your wood circle, then set it aside, and let it dry. Divide your wooden clothespins into two sets, then paint one set fully yellow, and the other set yellow with its tip brown. Once the paint has dried completely, glue them around the wooden circle with their colors alternating, and their placement on an alternate overlap. Add some small white dots all over the clothespins for some details, then attach a few faux flowers and leaves to the gap on the side of the wreath. Write anything you want at the center and you’re done!
