Crepe Paper Sunflower Tutorial
In this tutorial, I will show you the easy way to make a sunflower using crepe paper.
Start by taping three floral wires together, then cover them with green crepe paper.

Take one brown rectangle, stretch it, then fold it in half crosswise. Next, fold it in half lengthwise twice. Once folded, cut thin slits on the folded side about 5/8 inch deep. Don’t forget to cut along the sides as well. Repeat with the remaining pieces.

Wrap the brown pieces around the end of the stem to form the center of the flower.

Take one yellow piece and stretch it until it’s about 6 1/4″ long. Fold it in half lengthwise twice. Cut slits on the sides and in the middle about 2 1/4″ deep. Then measure 3/4″ from the top and mark each side. Use these marks as a guide to cut each slit into a point. Repeat with the remaining pieces.

Unfold the yellow pieces and curl the tips.

Take one green crepe paper piece and fold it in half three times lengthwise. Cut three equally spaced slits about 1 1/4″ deep. Then measure 5/8″ from the top and mark each side. Use these marks as a guide to cut the points.

Unfold it, gently stretch each point, and then fold it in half.

Glue the yellow petals evenly around the center of the flower.

Wrap the green leaves, also known as sepals, around the flower.

Scrunch the bottom part and secure it with floral tape.

Take the green piece for the leaves and fold it in half. Add double-sided tape inside, then remove the backing. Place a floral wire in the center and fold the other side over to seal it.

Fold it in half and cut out a leaf shape.

Attach the leaves to the stem with hot glue, then wrap with floral tape to secure them.
