I don’t know about you, but most people I know including myself believe indoor slippers one of the most challenging supermarket essentials to find. Some are just not the right fit or even has the right fluff. Sometimes you just have to make one yourself. The great thing is My Things My Way on YouTube just posted another DIY craft, and it’s just in time for this chilly season. The fun instructions are listed for your cozy and fluffy indoor slippers made from flip flops.

Materials:

  • Flip-flops 
  • Marker 
  • Brush
  • Wool material
  • Evostic gum
  • Paper 
  • Scissors 
  • Glue 
  • Labels and logos

Directions: 

Cut out the straps of the flip-flops. With a strap flip-flop, use it as a basis for where the straps should be with a marker.

Have you prepared your wool material?

Take out your evostic gum and, with a clean brush, dab it in the evostic gum and wipe it on all sides of the flip-flops except the strap areas and the footbed.

Stick it on the wool material and wrap it around the gum sides.

Cleanly cut off the excess wool material on the edges.

With your paper, shape it like a strap. You can use and trace out the strap flip-flop that you used for your basis on the first part with a marker; now that you have a basis for your strap, cut out the wool material in its shape and sew both sides together.

Time to attach both parts! Use sturdy glue to connect the edges of the strap with the sides of the flip-flops intended for the straps. Cut off the excess if necessary.

Are you feeling a little extra? Fasten some labels or accessories to it. The more creative the touch, the more unique it will be.

Now you have a beautiful pair of fluffy slippers to use indoors. They will be feel cozy and warm enough even for winter.
