This DIY shamrock garland by Happy Crafty on YouTube is so easy to make with construction paper. The step-by-step tutorial is a great activity to do at home to get ready for the St. Patrick’s Day spirit. Also, this holiday is one day so there’s no need to spend a bunch of money on decorations that will only be up for a couple of days or so. If you’re having a party, you can make a few of these to hang around your house. Plus, the shamrock can be made into the individual decor and hung from the ceiling attached to a string.

Materials:

  • hole puncher
  • construction paper (shades of green)
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • glue
  • staple
  • jute rope

Directions:

First, make the measurements vertically on the green sheets of paper by marking every inch on the ruler. Then, flip the paper horizontally and make a straight line across for each of the tick marks. After, make a line in the straight center on one sheet and cut out the strips. Continue to watch Happy Crafty tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.

Overall, I think this is a cool St. Patrick Day paper craft to make at home with your kids and friends. There are so many possibilities with this shamrock garland because you can turn it into other decor ideas. I haven’t done a paper craft in so long, but this would be so cute to make. Green is my favorite color so I love decorating for St. Patrick Day because it gives me a reason to have a lot of green around my house.
