Mason jars crafts are fun and nifty. This DIY scarecrow mason jar craft by Logan Lynn on YouTube is so creative and I love how inexpensive it is to recreate this for my house. Logan is super talented and informative. Her instructions are detailed and straight to the point. This is a great way to create an easy Fall decor around the house. This gives me ideas for other seasonal holidays such as creating a snowman when it’s winter time. I can’t get over how cute the scarecrow turned out to be, and after watching the video, I’m ready to make a few for my friends and I. Plus, it’s a unique idea to make as a fancy handmade decor or to fill up items with such as with candy corns or with pens.

Materials:

  • mason jar
  • tissue paper (white)
  • Mod Podge
  • paint (sunkissed peach, burnt orange, flag red, black, white, or preferred colors)
  • raffia
  • burlap
  • Fall-ish ribbon or material
  • Mulberry twigs
  • hot glue gun
  • scissors
  • paintbrush

Directions:

First, cut the tissue paper in half and make sure it fits your mason jar. Then, paint the mason jar with the Mod Podge in sections because it dries quickly. Apply the tissue paper on top of the wet Mod Podge. Continue to do this until the mason jar is covered. Let it dry for 1-2 hours before repainting it.
