Rope and macrame projects are very in right now, and I was so excited to find this hemp rope planter project. This DIY by Houseplant Hacks made the perfect addition to my house, and I am sure it will for yours too. If you have been looking for a way to spice up your houseplants, this is how. It only takes a few things to make them and can be done in just a few minutes.
Start by taking your help rope and wrapping it around itself in a spiral to create the base of your pot. It is easiest if you place the rope on a flat surface for this step and spin it in the same spiral motion you would to tie-dye a shirt. Hot glue to the rope as you go.

Take three long strands of hemp rope and begin braiding it. You can tie the strands to some to hold them still while doing so. Keep an even amount of tension in the rope the whole time you braid so the rope looks even all the way through. Cut the rope at an angle to blend it in the gaps better.
Begin gluing your pieces to the pots. Glue the base rope from step one to the base of the pot. Then begin gluing the braid from step two onto the pot.

Now for the final touches. Fill in any gaps you have with leftover rope. Then, take a new strand of rope and wrap it on the top of the pot to give it a polished and finished project look. Just hot glue the rope
