With everyone talking about the importance of preparedness and having your own sustainable food sources, it does make sense to buy or build a greenhouse these days.  I had been looking for an affordable greenhouse idea for quite some time, but many were highly involved and really expensive. When I finally found this recycled plastic bottle small greenhouse video tutorial by Nature Slice, on YouTube, I knew it was going to be perfect for my skill level and my budget, so I was super excited!

Materials For The Recycled Plastic Bottle Greenhouse:

  • Wood (recycled pallet wood may work well)
  • Plastic water or soda bottles
  • A drill
  • Nails
  • A hammer
  • Sticks (dowel, etc.)
  • Screws

In this recycled plastic bottle small greenhouse video tutorial by Nature Slice, on YouTube, you will learn how to make this ingenious greenhouse in a few easy steps. You will begin by drilling holes into the bottom of the plastic bottles and inserting the sticks of wood.

Then, you will attach the sticks to the box. You can also add plastic to the outside of the bottles, this really provides a lot of insulation for growing plants in cold climates.
