This is such a seasonal cheery project for quilters, Valentine’s Day is upon us and it’s time to bring our holiday decorating ideas out. I love to plan and I do plenty of that, but it’s time to not only be inspired but to actually work on a few of those DIY project ideas I’ve been saving. When I saw this lovely video tutorial by the great Quilting Afficiando Donna Jordan I knew I had to make it right away. I already had some Valentine’s Day themed fabric remnants I bought on sale at JoAnn’s Fabrics for next to nothing but didn’t quite know what I was going to do with them and this was my perfect chance to put them to good use and make something beautiful.

I started by cutting my fabric, they are labeled but the free download is at Donna’s Website Jordan Fabrics

This is such a beautiful and rewarding project, I love quilting all year round, but especially love quilting for Valentine’s Day Holiday. Nothing makes the holiday season more bright and homey than DIY decorative accessories made from patchwork remnants fashioned into incredible Valentine’s Day flair. Donna’s patterns are done in a  simple no-nonsense way that is easy to follow and she has pre-cut patterns and fabrics too. I love watching Donna’s busy hands at work whether I make the project or not, but this table runner is absolutely beautiful and a hands-down winner.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
