The first way to print on wood is to use acetone to make the toner stick to the wood and then print on it. Only acetone and a paper towel are needed for this process. Nitrile gloves can be used to protect your hands. You can also use an old key card or credit card if you want to. And be careful with the acetone, and read and follow all the warnings on the can of acetone that come with your paint.

Lay the mirror image print out on the wood and crease the paper over the edge to keep it in place, then glue it down. Tape could also be used here. Use a plastic hotel key card wrapped in a shop towel that has been soaked in acetone to soak the paper. Then, press down hard on the paper.

When the toner has been used a few times, it is on the wood. That’s when the paper comes right off with no sticky residue, revealing the wood print with the picture on it.

The next way to print on wood is with a clothes iron. The clothes iron is all you need. Before you crease the paper over the edge, you put the paper down. Tips: You could print on wax paper, or you could use a branding tip on a soldering iron to make it look more like you. Make sure you don’t move or move around the paper when you iron it! Press down hard and turn the iron on.
