I have been on the hunt for a large mirror for my room for quite some time now, and especially loved the ones I’ve been at stores like Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters Home section, but they’re so expensive. When I stumbled across this video by, Designed by Smashley I knew I had found my solution. This amazing DIY project looks amazing in my room and turned out even nice than I expected it to.
For exact measurements of the wooden materials, check out the description box of Designed by Smashley’s YouTube video down below.
Connect two pieces of 4×8 plywood planks using wood glue and bar clamps to hold them in place. You can use bungee cords to hold the two pieces together as well.

Using gorilla wood glue, attach your slats of wood to the plywood. and place the mirrors into the slats to measure out the distance. Repeat this process as you move down the plywood. Then repeat the process with the vertical slats. Go back and reinforce all the slats with nails.
Spackle over all your nail holes and then sand the top so the slats are even. Spray paint the slats with your desired color.

Using the gorilla glue, attach the mirrors to the grid. The video uses 1-inch by 1-inch mirrors.
That’s it. This DIY creates a very modern and chic look in your home for much cheaper than the cost of buying a large mirror
