I was looking for a hutch idea for the craft tool bench and I really did not want anything actually fixed to the wall because the tool bench is fitted with castors and I like to be able to wheel it around the garage to suit the type of project I happen to be working on. The way this wonderful tutorial by Kelly Barlow Creations is very informative and easy to follow and she describes everything she uses in great detail, including the price she paid, which is very helpful for anyone who is about to embark upon a DIY project. However, there are many substitutions that can be easily used while still following the basic project outline. Remember, the golden rule of DIY is that whatever project you are making is your own creation and it can be however you want it to be, this is your creative moment and your turn to shine. There is no right or wrong way to do anything in DIY crafting and necessity is the mother of invention, so if you have something that will remotely work and may take the project into a slightly different direction, then, by all means, try it.
In the video, you will learn how to glue and clamp your crates together to make your basic hutch formation.
Then you will flesh out the interior as shown in the video or modify it to suit your needs.
This project is a gem and looks great on any desk, vanity, or tool bench.
