I really needed a new coffee table and I toyed with the idea of making one myself, but all the DIY coffee tables I found on Youtube involved carpentry skills and that wasn’t something I could do. I was just about to give up my search when I found this excellent video on Youtube by Lots of Glitter and Shiii where she makes a stunning coffee table out of 2 hula hoops and shower curtain rings using a favorite tool, my trusty hot glue gun. I already had some of the materials except for the shower curtain rings and the five packs of small round mirrors which I found at Michael’s Craft Store, where I used my 25% off coupon I found on the Michael’s app. Michael’s makes it so easy to use their coupons, you just pull it up on your phone and the cashier scans it right on your phone, it really couldn’t be easier.

Materials:

  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks
  • 5 packs of Shower Curtain Rings
  • 2 Hula Hoops
  • 1 piece of cardboard (cut into a round circle to go in the middle of the hula hoop table)
  • 1 can of Silver Spray Paint
  • 2 pieces of silver paper
  • Some silver decorative trim
  • 5 packs of small  round mirrors (from Michael’s Craft Store)

Directions:

In the video, you will learn how to attach all the shower curtain rings to the two hula hoops making a table base.

Then you will also learn how to put all the finishing touches on this gorgeous coffee table by gluing your small round mirrors inside each shower curtain ring gap and then making your coffee tabletop out of painted or covered cardboard.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
