Use a 1cm (0.4 inches) strip to cover the upper edge of the plastic heart with hot glue, then use the 0.5 (0.2 inches) glitter foam strip to line the top of the foam sheet. Flip the top side down and place it on top of a foam sheet, attach it with hot glue, then cut around the excess. Trace the shape of the plastic heart’s other side onto cardboard, then cut around the excess. Take the cardboard heart template and cover both sides with a foam sheet, then cut around the excess.

Step 2

Attach the 0.5 (0.2 inches) glitter foam strip on top of the 1cm (0.4 inches) foam strip, then cover the sides of the cardboard heart with it, it’s okay for the foam sheet to overlap at the bottom. Take another glittered strip then place it on top of the cardboard heart, on the side without the overlap, cover the seams with it, and your lid is ready.

Cut a 12 x 12 cm (4.7 x 4.7 inches) square of a glitter foam sheet, then draw lines diagonally to form an “X”. Cut the lines but leave the center intact, then draw a curve on each seam edge, and cut it out. Fold the pointed tip of the left and right triangles towards the center, secure it in place with hot glue. Then cut a triangle on the center of the lower triangle, for the upper triangle, cut out the sides and shape it into a 1-inch thick strip. Flip the two slanted strips at the bottom in an upward manner, then fold the thick strip over and wrap in a downward manner, and you have your bow ready. Simply attach the bow on top of the lid.
