Halloween and fall are approaching so it’s time to get ready for fall decor. What’s a better way to start on decorations than making your own? It’s time to get festive and I love making homemade decor for the house because it’s fun and inexpensive. This mason jar light craft by 3 Minute Crafts on YouTube shows how to recreate this in about 10 minutes or less. I love how it’s easy to make and you can insert candles or lights inside the jar. Plus, you don’t need to purchase a mason jar for this decor, you can use an old coffee jar or any type of clear glass jar. This is a quick tutorial to follow along with, and honestly, you can make this without having to watch the full video. I would love to make a couple of these to place around my house, and it would give me a reason to work on some side crafts.
First, paint your empty jar with acrylic paint, and let that dry.
Next, once the paint is dry, use your construction paper to make whatever design you would like to put on your jar. In this case, it’s a ghost for Halloween.
You can create any kind of design whether it’s for Halloween or fall. I like this ghost idea because Halloween is soon and it’s a cool decor that has a glowing touch. I would make a jack-o-lantern with this DIY tutorial idea. There are many ways to dress this DIY up, or you can keep it simple. This mason jar light decor can be placed as a centerpiece, outside the front or back patio.
