DIY Glowing Leprechaun Mason Jar Tutorial

Just in time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with this adorable and magical DIY glowing leprechaun on a mason jar! Learn how to make this with very easy and simple steps through this quick video tutorial by Sarah Johnson – EssyJae on YouTube.
Materials:
- Jar
- Acrylic paint, light green
- Acrylic paint, black
- Paintbrush
- Paper
- Pen
- Fairy light
- Artificial moss or grass
- Clear tape
- Green glittered ribbon
- Scissors
Directions:
Step 1
Grab a clear and cleaned-up mason jar, then brush and paint the inside with light green or neon acrylic paint. Leave it to dry completely, then proceed to create your patterns. Draw your leprechaun and shamrocks pattern onto plain white paper, but you can also print it out to lessen the work, then cut those pieces out and set them aside. Lay your cut-out patterns on top of a flat surface covered with paper, then brush it with black acrylic paint until it’s fully covered and coated.

Step 2
Leave them to dry completely and set them aside. Go back to your jar and check if it’s already dry, once done, insert some fake grass or moss at the bottom of the jar, press it down tightly. Place the fairy light inside the jar, then put a clear tape at the back of your leprechaun and shamrocks, and attach it to a place where its silhouette shows up better. Adjust the wires of the fairy light if needed, then close the lid. For the finishing touch, tie a green glittered ribbon around the lid and make a cute bow.
