If you’re into some subtle glitz, glamour and/or bling, then this is the perfect DIY project for you! It costs virtually nothing, takes little time and is easy!

This light shade is so subtle and beautiful when the light is turned on in the evening. It’s just that right amount of sparkle that adds a special touch to your room.

If you’re into really easy DIY’s then this is the perfect project for you! It takes little effort and money and makes a big statement! Who would have ever thought that just by adding some glitter to the underside of a lampshade would make such a difference? Well, I’m here to tell you that it really does!

I did this for a lamp in my bedroom to go on a small desk I have in there and I just love it! It’s the perfect amount of sparkle and is so stunning when the lamp is turned on. Ever do a project that just makes you feel good when you walk into a room. That’s what this one does for me.

Girls love this in their rooms, whether a teenager or a younger girl, so if you’re looking to do something to make them smile, this is the ticket! It’s fun to do this together too! Actually, I would suggest doing it together so you can make sure that glitter doesn’t end up everywhere in your home! Although, once applied with the Modge Podge, the glitter stays, so don’t worry about it shedding much.

Most of us have lampshades already, but if you don’t, then I’m sure you will find one at a thrift store or a flea market, but check your attic first! I’m always surprised at what I have stashed up there that I’ve forgotten about!

Watch how the gal with Simple DIY’s does this in her step by step tutorial so you can get busy making this too!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
