Do you have glitter foam at home that you no longer use? Don’t throw them away just yet, as you can make several pieces of this DIY glitter foam flower with it! This awesome idea is by Foam Flower DIY on Youtube. It’s super easy to make and can be done in just a few minutes. You can give this to a friend or family who loves hair accessories or even sell them online and earn money! If you’re not a fan of hair clips – you can also use the flower as embellishments for your projects. Be creative and create them in different colors and sizes. Materials:

  • pink and green glitter foam 0.08 inch thick
  • 0.3 inches diameter beads (with a thin wire inserted in the middle of the bead)
  • ruler
  • scissors
  • hair clips
  • hot glue
  • felt
  • needle with thick thread

Instructions:

Step 1:

Cut a 0.8″ by 3.94″ pink glitter foam and a 1.18″ square green foam.

Step 2:

Get the pink rectangle. Mark 1-inch segments along the long side and draw lines. Cut on the lines, but not all the way through. Shape each segment into a petal.

Step 3:

Get the needle with thread and sew on the straight edge of the petals just like below. Pull the thread until the petals fold. Sew the end petals together.

Step 4:

Insert the wire of the bead in the middle of the flower and glue it in place.

Step 5:

Fold the square glitter foam in half twice, then cut on the sides to make a leaf. Open it and stretch the leaves. Insert the wire of the flower in the center and glue it in place.

Step 6:

Glue a small piece of square felt onto the top of the hair clip. Cut the excess wire on the flower, then glue it on the hair clip.
