My Daughter was having a lot of trouble doing her homework in her lap, even with the cute little bean bag lap desk I had made for her and she really needed a desk, however, her room was really small and there wasn’t enough room to put a desk in there, so I went on Youtube and searched a wall mounted DIY desk idea that could fold up when it wasn’t in use and I found this awesome little wall mounted desk idea and it looked pretty easy, so I decided to give it a go. I started the DIY Wall Mounted Desk project by gathering my materials which were so affordable.

Materials:

  • 1 (16″ x 48″) Project Panel
  • 1 (2′ x 4′) Plywood Sheet
  • 2 (1″ x 8″ x 6′) Boards
  • 1 (1″ x 6″ x 6′) Board
  • 1 (1″ x 10″ x 6′) Board
  • Minwax Wood Stain

Directions:

First, build your box shelving small unit that will serve as the hutch part of your desk and will mount to the wall.
