It may sound silly, but I love putting my initials on everything from jackets to shirts, but I had never thought of using initials as a form of room decor until I saw this wonderful Youtube video tutorial! I was so excited I had to try it right away. I gathered my materials right away, starting with the paper mache letters I found easily at Michael’s Craft Store, faux flowers I also found easily at Michael’s, a piece of styrofoam one half the depth size of the letters, an Exacto knife or box cutter, some scissors, and last but not least, my trusty glue gun, where would I be without it?!

Then I cut the back off my paper mache letters.

Then cut out the styrofoam to fit inside the letters and glued it in with my trusty hot glue gun.

Then I prepped my faux flowers by cutting the stems off then sticking them into the styrofoam in a random pattern.

This project turned out so super cute, the DIY Floral Letters were super easy to hang with some double-sided Command Hook Adhesive and they looked great on the wall. Just when I thought I had finished my best friend came over and went so crazy over my DIY Floral Wall Letters, she had the great idea of writing a whole sentence, which turned into favorite quotes, which turned into song lyrics. I had to tell her I needed to go and buy a coffee pot first because I think we are going to be here a while!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
