There are fun ways to keep the Fall season exciting by doing fall sewing projects. This DIY fall potholder by The Sewing Room Channel shows how simple it is to customize your own potholder. She does an amazing job instructing throughout this tutorial, which is why I love watching her videos. She has some of the best seasonal tutorials and makes it look easy. This is a great way to be unique and creative by making handmade pieces. Also, this would pair well with her Fall oven mitts tutorial too. I love the loop holder on this too because it would be convenient to hook onto something around the kitchen. It’s a great way to protect the countertops while adding a little nice touch during the holiday season.
First, lay the fabric squares in the order of alternating fabric designs. Then, take the fabric pieces on top of each other and stitch 1/4″ seam and press the seams toward the darkest fabric. Bring front sides together and match seams.
Next, continue to watch The Sewing Room Channel’s tutorial on YouTube for the full instructions and details on how to make a fall pot holder.
Overall, this is a cute potholder and I love the design on this. It’s a great DIY for the Fall and Thanksgiving. Plus, it would be a great gift to make for friends and family members. Potholders are cute to have or use when you need to place something hot down on a counter. My aunt would love this tutorial because it’s festive and she loves having things match around the house. Lastly, this can be made for the winter and Christmas season too.
