The fabric store had hundreds of beautiful fabrics in this set. It was like reaching a fabric haven!
I just had to get some of them – they were calling out to me. You can’t blame them for being so cute and almost screaming out to be made into dresses. So I rushed home and searched for sewing ideas and found Rosery Apparel on YouTube, sharing how she made three dresses in the space of twenty-four hours. I just had to know if I, too, could beat the record! Which I did. Now, I have three beautiful dresses to flaunt out to the world.
Materials:
Directions:
Trace on or print the Rosa dress pattern on your plotter paper with your size. Neatly cut out all the pieces of your dress pattern from the 3 fabrics.
Starting with the upper pieces of the dress, pin them together and sew them all together. Use a cloth iron as you go to clean out the fabric. This will make it much easier to sew.
Stitch and sew the back of the bodices with an elastic to fit over your head. Hand sew a button on the other side of the elastic to hoop it in when you wear the dress on.
For the skirt, carefully pin in all the parts of the dress. Sew them all together along the waistline. To attach the skirt to the bodice, make sure to flip the parts inside out. Pin the skirt to the bodice and sew them all together.
Viola! You have finished three dresses in one day!
Fit it on and congratulate yourself on a job well done. Then you can schedule which ones to wear on each day you want to show off your dresses you’ve sewn by yourself.
