My family and I have a lot of denim jeans at home that I no longer use, so I looked for projects I could do with them. Repurposing or upcycling them is better than just throwing them away. As I was searching, I found this DIY doormat using old jeans by ArtKo Point on Youtube. It really caught my attention as the shape is unusual and it’s very interesting. You’ll surely have fun making this too. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.

Cut the fabric scraps into small pieces.
Trace the pattern or the bottom of a round object into the denim and fabric scraps and cut them out. The number of pieces depends on how big you want your floormat to be.
Get one round of denim and one round of fabric scrap, and do a blanket stitch halfway through. Fill the inside with fabric scraps. Make sure not to fill it too much. Continue with the blanket stitch until it’s all closed. Repeat several times to make tons of circle patches.
Take 7 circles and form into a flower with one in the center. Continue arranging the other circles around. Make sure not to put any spaces in between each circle.
Glue them in place on a big fabric scrap using fabric glue. Be sure to secure the ends firmly. You can also stitch them together too instead of using glue.
Cut the excess fabric on the base and let it dry completely.
