Well, Saint Valentine’s Day s here again and here come the pretty pink and red projects like clockwork. I must admit Cupid and all his heart-shaped regalia not only makes the spirit wistfully romantic but also for me, brings up nostalgic memories of trading Valentines in school and making paper projects. I recently needed to make some Valentine’s Day decorations for my office and was given a very limited budget. I was skeptical of how I was going to make any kind of project for the amount of money I was given, but like a bolt from the blue, I remembered how fabulous my school paper Valentine projects looked and I found this awesome DIY Paper Heart Banner made entirely with Dollar Tree materials on Youtube and knew it was going to be perfect. I couldn’t wait to make it and I was only going to need a few materials.
Materials:
A pack of stick-on letters, a pack of heart-shaped doilies, glue, some string, plain paper, and scissors (all from Dollar Tree)
Then you cut smaller paper hearts out of plain paper and stick on your letters, then glue them to your doilies.
Then you just lace your rustic Dollar Tree String through the openings around your doily and tie a bow at the top.
Then you decorate your beautiful rustic Valentine’s Day Doilies with pearls (stick-on or hot glue stones individually)
Then you just string your doilies together, like a necklace.
This project turned out more beautiful than I could have even imagined! Try it and I know you will love it!
