Snowman ornaments

Materials:

  • Snowman figurines
  • Dowel sticks
  • Popsicle sticks
  • X-Acto knife
  • Mod podge
  • little snowballs
  • Hot glue
  • foam core board.
  • Glitter ribbon

Directions:

Insert your dowel sticks into the bottom of one of the snowman figurines. Cut off an inch of the post before you insert the second snowman. Once they’re in place, secure them with hot glue to ensure that the rod does not slide out.

Cut off the bottom part of the last snowman so that it sits flat. Then, take another stick and insert it on top of its head. Insert the other end of the post into the bottom of the second snowman.

After that, take a piece of foam board. Cut it into 4 by 4 pieces and cut out a hole in the center. This will be the stand for the snowmen. Then, take some mod podge and scatter little snowballs all over the base. To decorate it some more, cut off the ends of the popsicle sticks since you won’t be needing them. Then, place the sticks on the edges of the stand and proceed to secure the crevices with hot glue. Take some glitter and wrap it around the base of your snowman.

Bird’s nest

Materials:

  • Bird figurines
  • Circle-shaped Styrofoam
  • One bundle of Jute twine
  • Fibers
  • White paint
  • Hot glue

Directions:

Take your jute twine and wrap it twice around the Styrofoam. Then, flip it over and spiral it around the bottom. Do the same to the top part.

After, take your fibers and layer them around the base and at the top of it. Make sure that the Styrofoam on the inside is not visible.

Take your figurines and glue them over the fibers. Once they’re on, wrap a ribbon around the bottom. After, it’s up to you to add a bow, as well as other decorations like pinecones and leaves. If you decide to add them, lightly brush them with white paint so they’ll look like they have a bit of snow on them.
