I love all that is Disco, if you called me a relic from the disco era, I would tell you that that was absolutely correct. I also bought my entire collection of Disco Cds before the days of online streaming and I have hundreds of them, some in mint perfect condition and some that have definitely seen better days. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this DIY Disco Ball Ornament on Youtube, and the best part was the fact it was made with CDs! I started this project by first soaking my CDs in hot boiling water for ten minutes to soften them up.
Then I dried them off and started cutting away.
Then I got out my trusty glue gun and started gluing on the little jagged mosaic pieces to a plain silver glass ball ornament.
This was one of the most simple, easily executed DIY projects I’ve ever made. My disco ball CD Ornaments looked so amazing I filled the entire tree with them. I decided to go full-on disco and make a light show in my Den with lights that blinked and bounced to all my favorite disco hits, Donna Summer’s “Last Dance”, Anita Ward’s “Ring My Bell”, Foxy’s “Get Off”, Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music”, KC And The Sunshine Band “I’m Your Boogie Man”, The Silver Convention “Fly Robin Fly”, Dico Tex And The Sex-O-Lettes “I Wanna Dance Wit Choo”, and we can’t forget The Tramps “Disco Inferno”! Yeah, Baby! We gonna burn this Mother Down! This DIY made all my Dico Dreams come true!
