Plate chargers are such a great decorative addition to your table, what is a plate charger exactly? A plate Charger is a large decorative base placed under other dinnerware and is placed on the table during formal or semi-formal events, but the charger is really the new placemat in my opinion. They are so fun and decorative on the dining table, plus I used all my placemats for crafts, lol. I was getting all gung ho on the charger plate idea and was preparing to go shopping and buy some, that’s when a bolt from the blue hit and said, DIY Darlin’ DIY! Well, I got in Youtube and found the exact DIY Charger Plate Idea of my dreams, I couldn’t wait to try it out! I started by getting my materials together: 4 Plate Chargers from Dollar Tree, 3 Spools Of Ribbon, a small bucket of flatback faux jewel stones, a tape measure, an application brush, some scissors, wire rings, some E6000 glue, and last but not least my trusty glue gun to tie everything together.
Then I cut the denim ribbon in 15 inch long sections and then arranged and glued them to my charger plate.
Then I added my beautiful flatback faux stones to the top of my denim ribbon.
Then all I had to was set the table and stare at my gorgeous creation till my guests arrived. This is such a cool, easy, cheap, and quick project, there is no reason under the Sun not to make it.
