Looking for some new fashion ideas for your fall wardrobe, but don’t really have the budget to go buy anything new? You might be surprised to learn you can easily DIY your way into an awesome autumn wardrobe, and not an obviously handmade one, either. Up until recently, I would never have considered making anything I wore, because I thought it would end up looking obvious that I made it, and not in a good way, either. Was I ever pleased to learn that some of the favorites in my besties closet were things she made. After learning this, I decided to try my hand at a simple T shirt makeover. The rest is history, I am hooked forever. I scoured the internet and Instagram all summer looking for cool new ideas to make for fall fashions. I found 34 fabulous ideas I am thrilled to be able to share with you. DIY Clothes for Fall

2. Festive Sleeves For Fall

Make this awesome look by turning your jacket inside out and then measuring out the length of fabric or spacing for ribbon. Use the iron-on lining to place and hold the material in position as you hand (or machine) stitch around the edges. Awesome way to also disguise a stain on a pair of your favorite pants. The stencils are really a fun addition and I bet they would also look cute with owls or foxes. I just love this. I am going to have to give it a try.

4. DIY Burberry Inspired Jeweled Trench

We pretty much want to put jewels on everything these days, including the ever-classic trench. Get the much-coveted Burberry look by jazzing up the collar of your trench with emerald rhinestones. This calls for a DIY, of course. This may not be the easiest of tutorials but it’s so worth the time and effort, if you are so inspired.

Wow, this looks super beautiful! It definitely doesn’t look like a DIY project. I am so happy I found this website. I need to take more creative risks like this, it’s an awesome project. I love the relaxed yet sexy skin look. Gorgeous applique and the most beautiful sweater I’ve ever seen. I might just have to make one similar.

7. DIY Monogrammed Poncho

10. Handmade Heathered Kimono

Inspired by The House of Earnest’s DIY method, the author of this post created a shorter and heavier weight version out of a gorgeous flannel herringbone cotton to layer and cozy up with for fall. What an impressive tutorial! The process is super simple (no pattern needed!), but it does require a bit of sewing (not expert sewing, but beginner sewing). You could also hand sew this piece, but that would definitely take a while!
