We have a lot of birds in our neighborhood and it’s so calming to see them fly in the sky. That’s why I decided to make something for these beautiful creatures, so they’ll visit my place often. I found this DIY bird feeder by HGTV Handmade that is created from recycled materials like bottles and wood scraps. Of course, I made one, and the birds love it! I have seen different types ever since I placed it in my front yard. It’s an easy and small project that you can finish in just an hour! Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.

From your scrap wood, cut a rectangle measuring 14.25″ by 5.5″. Next, cut a small rectangle measuring 5.5″ by 5.25″.
Add construction glue on the top edge (not on the side), then attach it to the bigger rectangle. Let it sit for a few hours until the glue is completely dry.
Tape the L-bracket on the bottom right corner to secure it in place, then drill the screws. Repeat on the left corner.
Place the bottle on the wood upside down with the top facing towards the ledge. Mark the start of the neck and just below the bottom of the bottle. Using the ruler, mark two holes in the center. Drill holes then spray paint it with your preferred color.
Glue the small bowl on the ledge and let it dry overnight.
Insert the wires into the top and bottom holes, then insert the bottle. Tighten the wires and twist them on the back to secure them. Cut the excess wires.
Attach the hook on the top.
Fill the bottle with feeds, then hang them for the birds.
