This is the best thing since sliced bread!  The photo here shows it’s for a kid’s room… but I made one for my bed! I have my book… iPad… journal… pens. There’s a pocket for my glasses too! I’m working one that’s similar for the den couches to hold batteries, remotes and game controllers. These will definitely get you organized and reduce clutter!

I realized that I could make a smaller bedside organizer by making only one of these with a few pockets. My daughter and I were talking about dorm rooms because my niece is going to the same university this fall, and I wanted to give her something special for graduation. I decided to make her a bed pocket because as it turns out, she chose a singe dorm room just like my daughter did freshman year. A single dorm room is tiny so you need to be creative with your storage.

I saw this picture on Pinterest and really loved it. My kids always have all kinds of things clustered on their beds, such as books, toys, stationery and so on. This hanging bedside organizer is exactly what I needed for their beds. It slips between the mattress and box and hangs conveniently at the bedside, which is also a great space saver. With everything stored in those pockets, the bed will look neat and organized. You can customize the bedside organizer with materials and colors to match your bedroom decor.

I guess I’m always the last person in the family that I think about and I’d had this bedside organizer on my To Do list for well over a year. After making one for my kids, and one for the den, I finally made one for our bed. It’s awesome and has made my space so much more pleasant to be in.

After seeing how wonderful this works in my kids rooms I got down to making one for myself! I’m not a very organized person and can sort of ignore a moderate amount of mess, but after a while it gets me down, so it was time to do something about it. This bedside organizer is designed to hold everything that I like to keep on hand so I’ve designed it to suit my needs. Originally I was just going to make a pocket for my iPad but I’m quite happy that I waited and made a caddy to hold everything.

You’re gonna love having one of these and wonder why you didn’t have one before now!
