I was having my first New Year’s Eve Party in my new apartment and I wanted all my guests to be able to have a photo memory to keep after the festivities ended, I could not think of anything, so I went onto Youtube to see if I could tap into any inspiration and I struck gold! Literally, gold and navy blue that is, when I saw this gorgeous balloon photo backdrop idea, I got started right away by getting my materials together: I got a bag of 10-inch navy blue balloons,  a bag of 12-inch navy blue balloons, 1 bag 36 inches (4 point) star gold foil balloons, 1 bag 18 inch (4 point) star balloons, a balloon pump, a tying tool, 20-pound fishing line, and of course my trusty hot glue gun I use for everything. I started by blowing up my navy blue balloons.

Then I blew up my Gold Foil Star Balloons, using a hand pump for this one so they wouldn’t tear.

Then I started tying them together with fishing line.

This simple Balloon Garland Backdrop turned out so amazing, everyone loved it and we got some fabulous photos. My best friend ended up getting engaged that night and the backdrop was perfect even for engagement photos! I really had so much fun making this, I know your guests are going to be very impressed with it, and remember, photos last, you will enjoy this backdrop for years to come.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
