20-Minute DIY Adjustable Apron

This DIY adjustable apron by Mister Domestic on YouTube takes only 20 minutes to make. It’s a great Christmas gift idea and easy to make with the step-by-step instructions. It’s a tie back, adjustable apron that is great for baking, cooking, or grilling. You can make this with different versatile fabric designs. Also, I like how the apron design has a pocket. I’ve never really owned an apron before, but I do a lot of cooking. I love being in the kitchen, so this apron comes in handy to keep my clothes clean. Plus, this tutorial takes only 20 minutes and why buy one when you can customize your own? Supplies:

• 1 1/4-yard main fabric
• Half yard secondary fabric for pocket and strap fabric
• Coordinating thread
• Safety pin
• 1/4” wonder tape or pins & clips
• Erasable pen

Directions:

First, measure out the fabric and cut to the specific measurements in Mister Domestic’s video. Start on the body, and for each of the raw edges, fold over 1/4″, press then fold over again 1/2″ and press. Use pins or clips to keep in place before stitching.

Next, once the body of the apron is finished, add a safety pin to the end of one side of the strap. This step will help speed through the straps easier all around the edges.
