Wow! Peggy with Jansen’s DIY shows us some incredible tips for cleaning that I never dreamed of and I want to share them with you. She has some brilliant ideas for cleaning things you’ve never been able to reach to clean before…like the glass in between your oven door!
I never knew to use salt to clean my cast iron skillet and it prevents you from removing the cure! Actually she does a lot of things that I never knew about and I’m going to list a few…you can watch the rest of her tutorial for the other amazing tips…and, they are amazing!
- Your sink drain is home to some of the grimiest dirt and germs and you can get directions for cleaning them with citrus fruits, baking soda and a toothbrush.
- Clean old paintings by using the soft side of a bagel on them.
- Clean your nasty oven-hood filter with boiling water and baking soda.
- Clean your washing machine with clorox and water, then vinegar.
- Clean the rubber gasket in your front loading washer, where mold is prone to gather…wiping down with a rag soaked in 50/50 clorox and water.
- Prevent fires by cleaning out your dryer vent every 6 mos. using your vacuum cleaner.
- Make the steel plate on your iron smooth and shiny again.
