This is the perfect DIY project for using up some of those wonderful scrap fabrics you’ve been hanging onto forever, and the end result is just stunning. It’s actually one of my favorite quilts because of the design and how colorful it is.

Most of us have strips and scraps of fabric we can’t bear to part with, quilting a diamond scrappy string quilt might be just the project for you.

My niece and her husband are expecting their first baby in the fall and I decided to make a smaller quilt like the one she does in this tutorial.

I just love the bright scrappy look and know their baby and family will too. If you ask me, there’s hours of visual entertainment right there.

The next quilt I made like this was an adult size quilt and I wanted to create an ombre color-blocking effect using both pink & purple solids at the top and bottom of this quilt, and I love the end result! My daughter loved it so much I let her put it in her room.

Watch how this lady with Tea Quilts makes this fabulous quilt in her step by step tutorial.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
