These deep fried Oreos are one of my favorite desserts as they are easy to make and taste so good! If I knew that I could make fried Oreos in my own house, I would have made them a long time ago.
When I was young, my family took a trip to the Texas State Fair that I will always will remember. We spent the day doing all sorts of fun activities and eating foods I never thought I never imagined existed. Above all, the one food that stuck out to me above all other experiences on this trip were the deep fried Oreos. I ate so many that I left the fair full and tired, not knowing that this might be the last time I tasted my new favorite treat. Until recently, it had been years since I have tried a deep dried Oreo, longing for its sweet taste ever since. When I found this recipe of a distant treat from my childhood, I immediately rushed to the store and gathered my ingredients:
Begin by mixing the pancake mix, milk, egg, and vegetable oil together in a bowl by using a whisk.
Drop Oreos into the batter and flip over so that they are completely covered.
Heat oil to 350ºF and place the coated Oreos in the hot oil by using a slotted spoon. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
After the Oreos have cooled I recommend adding powered sugar on top just like the way they are served at the fair. For a full how to for this recipe, check out the video below!
