It’s apple season and the apples are flooding into the grocery stores and farmer’s markets, but the thing I love more than apples is Apple Crown Royal, so I made A Crown Royal Apple Cake with a rum glaze and it turned out so delicious. This cake has fresh seasonal apples in a combination of melted butter and brown sugar topping a rich, buttery, delicate bundt cake. You add rum to the cake glaze to really give it a kick, it’s so yummy! It’s not hard at all and the ingredients are very basic.

Cake Ingredients:
1 (18 ounces) package yellow cake mix (I used Pillsbury)
1 (3.4 oz ounce) package vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
½ cup of vegetable oil
½ cup water (or milk)
½ cup Crown Royal Apple
1 medium grated Granny Smith apple
1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
Glaze Ingredients:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
1⁄4 cup evaporated milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon rum
All cakes are baked at 325°F unless otherwise specified.
Directions:
Mix up cake ingredients according to directions on the box, except you will add freshly grated apples, 1/2 cup Crown Royal Apple and lay pecans at the bottom of your greased bundt pan, then add batter.
Then poke holes in the top of your cooled bundt cake and brush with more Crown Royal Apple, then make your caramel sauce with a bit of rum then pour all over the top of your Crown Apple Bundt Cake and enjoy!
This cake is one of the best I’ve ever tasted and the Apple flavored Crown is amazing!
