As a busy head during the day, I always prep slow cooker recipes, so when I get home, I would have a nice warm meal straight from the slow cooker. One of my favorite recipes is this marry me chicken pasta from Simply Mamá Cooks on Youtube. I’m big on pasta dishes, so this one just sits on top of my favorite list. It’s super easy to make and tastes incredible; my mouth is literally watering just talking about it. Try this today and see for yourself.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lb boneless chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Montreal chicken seasoning
  • 2 tsp Italian herb blend
  • 1 tsp granulated onion powder
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 lb penne pasta

Garnish:

  • extra sun-dried tomatoes
  • fresh basil
  • extra grated parmesan cheese
  • cracked black pepper
  • crushed red pepper flakes

Directions:

Step 1

Place your boneless chicken breast in the slow cooker and season with 1 1/2 tsp Montreal chicken seasoning, 1 tsp granulated onion powder, 1 tsp granulated garlic powder, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper, 2 tsp Italian herb blend, and 1 tsp paprika. (You can also season the other side of the chicken before placing it on the slow cooker.) Now, add 2 cups of heavy cream and more seasonings (as desired). Cover the slow cooker with its lid and let it cook for three hours on high.

Step 2

While waiting, go ahead and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain it well and set aside. After three hours, remove the chicken and stir in 1/3 cup of grated parmesan cheese. Once you mix everything well, add the chicken back to the slow cooker and shred it into the sauce. After this, add 1/3 cup of sun-dried tomatoes and the cooked pasta. Toss everything well, cover it again, and let everything warm up for ten to fifteen minutes. Garnish with some extra sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, more grated parmesan cheese, cracked black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
