This crispy bread filled with melted mozzarella cheese and mashed potato is fantastic! It’s a snack you can easily make at home with just 7 ingredients. Ingredients:
- 1 large potato
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder (optional)
- 8 slices of white bread
- mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 7 oz of bread crumbs

Instructions:
Step 1:
Peel the potato and slice it into big cubes.
Step 2:
Put the potatoes in a small pot filled with water. Cover with the lid and let it boil for 18 minutes. Once done, strain and discard the water.
Step 3:
Mash them using a strainer or potato masher. Place in a bowl, add 1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder, and mix until well incorporated.
Step 4:
Cut the brown sides of the bread. Get one and roll until flat. Do the same for the remaining slices.
Step 5:
Get a heaping tablespoon of the potato mixture, put it on the center of the flattened bread, and spread just a little. Add some mozzarella cheese on top of it then put another heaping tablespoon of potato mixture on top. Form it into a dome.
Step 6:
Fold the bread in half diagonally. Cut the sides to straighten them.
Step 7:
Get a fork and use the tines to press the edges. Flip and do it again.
Step 8:
Crack one egg in a flat container and beat well. Then fill a flat container with breadcrumbs.
Step 9:
Dip the cheese potato bread into the beaten egg and coat it with the breadcrumbs. Repeat for the remaining pieces then place them on a plate.
Step 10:
Fill a pot or pan with a generous amount of oil and place over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the potato bread until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
