I love chips and dip or any type of dip in general. They’re a great party or large group appetizer. This cream cheese dip with bacon and cheddar cheese by Jyothi Rajesh on YouTube is versatile. I love how this dip can be served warm, gooey, and cheesy or creamy, chilled, and packed with flavors. This dip can be served with many starters such as chips, raw veggies, or baguette slices. I think adding the hot sauce to the cream cheese dip will give a nice hint of spice, depending on what kind of hot sauce you choose to use. I love spicy foods, so I would add more than required. The dip is easy to make with very minimal prep work and can be made using one bowl.
First, preheat the oven to 375F. In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients and reserve half of the cheddar cheese for later use.
Next, transfer the cream cheese dip mix into a baking dish, and sprinkle the leftover cheese on top to bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. However, there is an option to serve this dip chilled by placing it in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
There are many variations and substitutions for this cream cheese dip such as using a light sour cream for a lighter dip or replacing it with yogurt. This can be considered a keto-friendly snack if you use veggies to dip. I love how this recipe lets you enjoy some of your favorite foods while still meeting the low-carb diet requirements.
