Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp softened butter

For Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp softened butter
  • 3 tbsp condensed milk

Directions:

Step 1

In the bowl of your stand mixer, add 1 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp dry yeast, 2 tbsp sugar, 1  egg and 1 yolk, and 1 tsp salt. Whisk well. Next, add 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour and 1/4 cup condensed milk. Whisk all together until combined, then put it on the stand mixer. Add 4 tbsp softened butter and knead until smooth dough. Now, oil a large mixing bowl and transfer the dough. Cover it and let it rest for two to three hours. After resting, punch the air out, then transfer it to your working surface. Divide the dough into three, roll each into a log, then cut each into 12 pieces; for a total of 36 dough balls.

After baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool. While waiting, mix together 3 tbsp softened butter and 3 tbsp condensed milk for the glaze. Brush it on top of each cloverleaf and serve.
