8 Clever And Helpful WD40 Hacks

You may have seen a WD40 before either from your Dad or Husband’s garage, it is a very effective solution for a variety of tools. However, this miracle cleaning solution does wonders to other parts of your house as well, such as your bathroom, kitchen, and even your carpet! Materials:

• WD40
• Microfiber cloth
• Toothbrush
• Hydrogen peroxide
• Dawn dish soap

Directions:

Step 1

Spray some WD40 on the microfiber cloth, then wipe it along the metal bar or rod of your shower or cabinet to remove the sticky texture and make it nice and smooth. Since this works perfectly on steel, you might want to try using it to clean your sink, simply spray it directly to your faucet and pop up the drainer, then wipe them with the cloth. Tons of grime and hard water can be removed using this solution. If you have a really dirty or disgusting toilet bowl or it has some deposit that can’t be removed, simply spray the WD40 around the area of your toilet, then let it sit for a couple of minutes, and then scrub it well. After flushing the toilet, add a few drops of citrusy essential oil. Spraying WD40 on your shower handle, then wiping it off can help remove hard water stains or any soap scum and stickiness.

You can also use this as a water repellent for your boots, just spray it all over your boots before going outside to ensure they don’t get wet. If you have a carpet stain, either scum marks or stuck gum, spray it on generously, then let it sit for a few minutes. Create a small mixture of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide, then pour it gradually on the spot that you want to clean, scrub it with a toothbrush, and let it dry. Repeat another round if needed. It can also remove sticker or tape residue on surfaces, just spray it directly on the sticker, let sit for a bit, then scrape off with a scraping tool, and wipe. To repel some snow or ice sticking to your car, spray a bit of WD40 on your window, then scrub it on completely. You can also clean your headlights and remove stuck dirt, simply wipe it using a microfiber cloth.
