Materials:
- Silver jewelry or cutlery
- Glass bowl
- Boiling water
- Baking soda
- Aluminum foil
Directions:
A sheet of aluminum foil, with the shiny side facing up, should be placed in the bottom of a glass bowl, and the bowl should be filled with water after that.
Place the silver pieces on a sheet of aluminum foil and press firmly to secure them. Make certain that the silver is in contact with the aluminum at all times.
Assure that the container is completely filled with hot water from a teakettle or other safe source before using it.
The standard amount of baking soda to use per cup of water is 1 tablespoon (or tiny bag) of baking soda. In the solution, there will be some bubbling and frothing to begin with.
